Full Moon Astrology Article: Releasing Your Inner Freedom

Every once in a while, the universe says that it’s time to take a break and relax. Taking a break, feeling your inner freedom, and anchoring your creativity are all important themes for the next two weeks. With the Moon in Aquarius and Sun in Leo there’s an inner need an opportunity to find the inner freedom to release your creativity so that your true individuality is able to fully shine.

Personal freedom is a necessary ingredient for creatively expressing your individual nature and uniqueness. This is especially true in our modern world with its myriad of social obligations and even at times a rigid or inflexible social structure.

The two week period following the Full Moon will be a perfect time to step outside of the box and experience a special kind of freedom. The Full Moon astrology pattern suggests the best way to integrate the creativity of success is in not by working harder, but through the temporary relief of your rigid day-to-day routines and social grind. This is a time to experience success by having fun. Relax, throw a party, or even go on vacation to get away from the established day-to-day structures of your life.

However throwing a party and experiencing the temporary relief it provides isn’t your only option to access success. The astrology chart highlights that there are two clear paths of potential success available and both are worth discussing. While both paths offer opportunity for success, only one path offers the experience of freedom and expansive creativity at the same time.

The first path to success comes from Saturn and requires you to focus and be assertive in your daily responsibilities. It requires your activities and social exchanges to embrace quality over quantity. It also gathers strength from using extraordinary concentration to power through the inflexible structures of day-to-day responsibilities.

The second path comes from Uranus and utilizes an unstructured atmosphere of creativity which releases you from the need for powering though. Uranus breaks through rigidity. This allows you to withdraw your focus from social obligations and routines and allows for success to flow from inspired creativity released from the depths of your being.

Because of this month’s larger pattern supporting success (the New Moon theme), your most inspired personal creativity will then anchor success within you at the deepest levels. External success will follow.

The main difference between these two paths of success is that the first relies on a more traditional path of Saturn with all the rules and structure Saturn loves. The other is a path of freedom and transcendence offered through Uranus. One advantage of the second non-traditional and unstructured path is that it promotes the necessary time to integrate the full force of creativity that is being released.

Astrology Patterns

Full Moon Astrology Chart for Aug 2014The astrology chart for this Full Moon is super interesting, with two competing energies from which you can draw. (These competing energies are circled on the chart to help illustrate this point.) On one side we have Saturn-Mars forming a square to the Sun/Moon. On the other side we have Uranus-Part of Fortune forming a trine-sextile to the Sun/Moon.

To better understand this pattern, let’s take a look at the unique relationship between Saturn and Uranus. Saturn is the last of the visible planets in our solar system and represents the outer boundary, the structures, and rules which society honors for success in the material world.

Uranus is all about freedom. Because it’s “beyond” Saturn, it often operates in an unconscious manner, especially in those who are still in the process of “waking up.” This “waking up” is an important transcendental aspect of Uranus, which provides the ability to “see what lies beyond Saturn’s limits and the structures of the known world.” Uranus offers you the freedom to go beyond what is known and to transcend your personal limits (Saturn). With Uranus in Aries, creativity and inspiration will easily flow with freedom and individuality.

With Saturn on one side and Uranus on the other, success this month has two possible avenues or paths that it can follow. The Saturn path involves tradition and the forceful and assertive management of energies (Mars). The square emphasizes the need for practical goals, good management, and extra concentration.

The Uranus path involves breaking free from tradition. The urge is to transcend and embrace a new sense of freedom. The Part of Fortune in this chart indicates a “fulfillment of desire.” The trine-sextile emphasizes the vision, flow, and opportunity that can follow from withdrawing from your everyday patterns (Uranus inconjunct Saturn).

Summary

This entire Lunar month is all about releasing new opportunities for success. With the Full Moon’s illumination there are clearly two paths for moving forward. One path is traditional, with the promise of traditional types of success. The other is nontraditional and less structured, and promotes the necessary time to integrate the full force of creativity that is being released.

The first path uses Saturnian energy for success through the use of structure and the ability to “power through.” The second path uses Uranian energy for success by releasing and anchoring creativity through freedom and temporary relief from rigid social stress.

If you’re feeling the urge to have some “down time,” then you have the perfect two week window in which to relax, all the while using these potentials for anchoring your future success.

My personal plan for integrating these Lunar energies is simple. I’m going to throw a party. Cheers!

New Moon astrology over Seattle, WA

Astrology Article: How to Release New Avenues of Success

The energy of Leo is ruled by the element of fire and brings with it an enthusiasm that can be quite engaging. Our Leo Sun and Moon is releasing new potential you can use to create success in your life. The fire element associated with the Leo archetype requires a constant supply of fuel in order to create success. The “fuel” of Leo is the energy of creativity that rises from your circumstances and activities. Leo creativity transforms results into success.

In terms of success, Leo’s fire burns hot, and at times without the necessary discrimination needed for long term success. The alignment of creativity with the expectation of success leads to generally positive outcomes.

There’s an excitement about Leo. It’s creative, inspirational, and driven at rare times like a wild fire out of control. The passion and excitement associated with Leo’s ability to trigger compelling activity needs to be harnessed. Its raw, untamed nature requires compelling circumstances to shape and direct all of its greatness into something fulfilling. Without some focus and directed will power, Leo’s need for fuel has the potential to take its toll like a summer wild fire.

When working with Leo’s energy at this particular New Moon, especially with Jupiter’s affinity towards excess, look for ways to express this potential with skill and direction in mind.

This New Moon stresses the importance of initiating activities which feed off of your strengths and skills. It’s important to hold on to a sense of maturity instead of rushing forward with blind enthusiasm.

Taking advantage of our new wave of manifesting energy will also require an attitude of success. You’ll need to move forward with confidence, creativity, and even a flare of showmanship.

You can expect success in all your new endeavors, providing you take the time to feel grounded and focused. Look for outside inspirations to catch your attention, but only act on them with a sense of direction and maturity. Will power and leadership are two of Leo’s sacred qualities that you can rely on for success this Lunar month.

Astrological Patterns: Your Kite Pattern of Success Needs to be Activated

New Moon Chart for July 26, 2014The astrological patterns are awesome during this New Moon! We have a beautiful “kite formation” which is indirectly activated by Mars.

Whenever a kite formation appears (in the chart you can actually see the outline of a kite), it represents success through new activity. More specifically, it offers the ability to achieve personal success in the world by harnessing the power of new and inspired activity.

We also have Jupiter in a close conjunction with the Sun and Moon in Leo. Jupiter is making such a close conjunction (only 1°) that its proximity is amplifying many of Leo’s extreme qualities, such as “combustibility and unrestrained passion.” Without restraint, this combustibility could lead to extremes or excess (Jupiter).

Mars offers the necessary control we need to realize the potential. Mars is square (90° separation) both Jupiter and Sun-Moon (see chart with red circles) and is activating all the potential for success that the kite represents. Will power, direction, and expansion have the opportunity to be balanced through Mars’ purposeful action and maturity.

In Summary

Our New Moon chart has the potential to activate a powerful pattern of personal success in the world, provided you can harness its power in a productive manner. The danger is in not understanding the power which is fueling this success. The fire hidden in this New Moon needs to be harnessed, for there is the potential of uncontrolled results.

This month’s kite formation provides you with new opportunities for success, providing you are able to recognize what’s needed to activate the kite’s energy. In other words, you must figure out how to “fly your kite” in order for the success associated with the kite to occur.

It’s only through the quality of good decisions and maturity (Mars square Jupiter, Sun, and Moon) that your activities will find success. The shadow side of this astrological pattern is in Jupiter and Mars combining efforts to expand indiscriminately, like a wild fire using anything and everything as fuel for its creative (potentially destructive) expression.

Remember, this is an extremely creative and enthusiastic New Moon with lots of hidden power fueling it. Maturity, good decisions, will power, and leadership are your tools for harnessing your success.

Full Moon with Cranes Flying

Astrology Article: Expanding Your Personal Success

Everyone wants to be successful. The idea of what success actually means varies greatly from person to person. Success in its most general understanding is the achievement of an aim or purpose. Over the coming two weeks there is an exciting opportunity to experience new levels of personal success in your life.

When considering success in the coming days, there is both an individual and collective aspect to consider. Allow me to explain this idea in the form of a story.

Consider a talented female singer on stage in front of a massive, adoring crowd. After an outstanding and moving performance, the singer is interviewed by a reporter. The reporter acknowledges that the performance was excellent by any standard, and then asks about her experience of success and the achievement she feels.

The singer responds in an unexpected way. She acknowledges her hard work, and then talks about her success having the highest value within the hearts of her fans. She goes on to say that the value of her art cannot be measured in individual (personal) terms since her success is only possible because others value it.

The point of this story is that success can be viewed and measured individually, or collectively, or both, as a mutually beneficial relationship. The highest point of success is when everyone benefits, both the individual and the group.

Our current Full Moon energies are bringing this opportunity into focus. There is the opportunity now for ease in the realm of personal success. You can expect positive results in whatever you set your mind to. However, there is also the possibility to expand your viewpoint and intentions. With the stability of the Grand Cross, there may be a tendency to play it safe and miss the larger realization that your actions can also impact others and have a much larger impact than you alone.

Your experience of success becomes limited if success is experienced as strictly an individual or personal achievement. Additional expansion and growth occurs when you feel your success also as a collective achievement and contribution.

There is a dynamic interrelationship between both types of success. The success of personal achievement is rooted in the quality of inner strength needed to meet the challenge. At the same time, individual achievement seldom exists in isolation. The challenge itself often involves and require the participation of the collective (as the story illustrated). In this way, the sense of personal accomplishment is also experienced as an accomplishment within the larger group.

Astrology Patterns

July Full Moon Chart 2014Our current astrology pattern consists of a Grand Cross involving a powerful opposition between the Sun/Jupiter (circled) and Moon/Pluto (circled), and a second opposition between Uranus and Mars. This pair of oppositions creates a Grand Cross. Note: this is a different Grand Cross from the one we experienced earlier this spring.

The Uranus/Mars opposition has been around for several months as we have been learning to integrate these energies. Until now, the main focus of the Uranus/Mars opposition has been individuality and the importance of being self directed.

With the new opposition of Sun/Jupiter and Moon/Pluto completing the Grand Cross there is a shift in emphasis from the individual to include the larger group. Jupiter’s connection to the Sun brings this possibility of success within everyone’s reach. The Full Moon conjunct Pluto brings the need to transcend one’s individual success to include a collective appreciation.

Remember, there is a kind of stability offered with the Grand Cross formation, but beware of the tendency to play it safe and stay within your comfort zone. This is about seeing yourself as part of something bigger and expanding your idea of what is possible.

In the coming days, accomplishing your personal aim or goal (achieving success) has the potential of expanding (Jupiter) your experience of success into a more universal or collective contribution (Neptune/Saturn/Pluto sextile to Full Moon).

In Summary

The Full Moon always activates a new awareness that expands your potential for growth. Feeling and experiencing success is fully supported during the next two weeks (until the New Moon). For the next two weeks you are being supported to experience new forms of success. Ask yourself, “How can my personal achievements inspire others?” Your answer may surprise you as you consider your connection and relationship to your community and your larger group.

Harmonizing Energy and Overcoming Scatteredness: New Moon Astrology June 27, 2014

Each week of this month’s Lunar Cycle will offer new tools and momentum for energizing your life purpose. Puget Sound New Moon

Astrology Article: Harmonizing Energy and Overcoming Scatteredness

The New Moon right after the summer solstice, which occurred on June 21, represents an important milestone Lunar cycle, it important to understand the New Moon astrology theme. It’s through this The New Moon because it helps initiate the coming season of summer. Through the theme of this New Moon you can get a glimpse of the active energies you’ll be able to use throughout the summer months. The New Moon in Cancer provides a unique type of harmonizing focus each person can access. These focusing energies are easily concentrated, like a magnifying lens, in order to expand the experience. It is this paradox of harmonizing the normally opposing concentrating and expanding energies which makes Cancer one of the more mystical zodiac signs. We are all multi-dimensional beings. The mystical energies released at the New Moon are supporting a deep, perhaps unconscious, sense of expansion into a new awareness of your multi-dimensional connections. This happens through cooperation between more than one level of existence.  One way to speak of your multi-dimensional experiences is through your connection to your larger (“higher”) Self. The Cancer New Moon is supporting easier than usual access as you attempt to make new connections with your higher-self. In the coming lunar month an attempt to nurture a more conscious connection to your higher self will be rewarded by feelings of rebirth. By nurturing your dedication to new forms of life emerging within, you’ll experience a type of a beneficial symbiotic relationship between these higher levels or frequencies of your own Inner Being.

Astrology Patterns:

June New Moon Chart 2014The active patterns involve a partial kite and a partial grand cross. They’re considered partial because only some, not all, of their elements are present. This indicates a need to integrate disparate energies. You may experience this as feeling scattered. This feeling of being scattered is also evident with the positions of both Venus and Mercury located in Gemini. (Venus and Mercury are also balsamic in aspect to the Sun. The balsamic phase with the Sun results in the letting go of everything which isn’t needed to build the future.) The key point to consider this month is that the Cancer New Moon energy wants to harmonize this quality of scatteredness. Remember that Cancer has a unique ability to integrate, or harmonize, by expanding and concentrating at the same time. The challenge in the current pattern is to develop a new capacity to function in practical ways at more than one level or dimension of experience. The solution to this challenge is seen in the three-point sextile/trine involving Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto. Together in this configuration these three planets represents the higher-self’s attempt to bring a new awareness of stability (Moon), and expansion of identity (Jupiter in Cancer), into your life by transcending  (Neptune) the feeling of being pulled in too many directions (Venus and Mercury in Gemini). In conclusion, it is beneficial to work with issues which rise from the paradox principle of contracting for the purpose of expanding.  Doing New Moon work around this paradox encourages connections with your highest-self. Living with awareness while working in the mundane (physical) world brings out the multi-dimensional capability within each of us. In turn, this quality of focus expands your ability to connect at many levels.

In Summary

The New Moon is providing a new ability this month to focus and function at more than one level of awareness through the help of the higher-self.  This is happening in part through a unique combination of Cancer and Gemini energies which need to be harmonized in order to overcome feelings of scatteredness. If you experience circumstances of scatteredness, being your focus to your connections with your higher-self and feel yourself emerging into a new relationship that transcends the scatteredness. In this way, the New Moon is supporting your experience of being a multi-dimensional being within the Universe. It is my deepest privilege to share these thoughts with you. Have a wonderful month, Steven

Full Moon Over Discovery Bay 2014

Full Moon Astrology Article: Accessing Your Upper Chambers of Consciousness

We all desire, and at times actively seek, higher states of consciousness. Our June Full Moon brings the opportunity for you to expand into these new areas of awareness seldom accessed. Creative integration and the flow of Spirit are two important aspects which occur within these higher regions of consciousness, or upper chambers of the mind.

Creativity and the flow of Spirit are just two of the aspects that are being directly activated by the Full Moon. These Full Moon energies are perfectly aligned to facilitate your greater access to those areas of consciousness which so often elude you.

The Gift of the Unexpected

As you begin to experience activity in these regions of your psyche, and anticipate the opportunities for expanded awareness over the coming two weeks, pay extra attention to how you react to unfamiliar situations.

It’s through the unexpected you’ll first begin to access these higher states of consciousness. Unfamiliar or even shocking experiences are your new friends during the next two weeks. It is through the unexpected that you forget, at least for a moment, what is normal, natural, and expected. In this moment you access what lies beyond your normal comfort zone.

The hidden opportunity in the unfamiliar lies in the way in which you embrace the unexpected.

This is true especially if you’re able see the unexpected without the label of “good or bad.” By embracing the unexpected you align with the creative flow of life and spirit that are the constantly moving energies within the upper chambers of your psyche.

One way to embrace the unexpected is by tending to the spirit in which you embrace transitions during the next two weeks. Transitions represent your ability to go with the flow of spirit. Holding awareness of the possibility of a new stage of development is crucial in your readiness. You will begin to notice a shift if you are able to readily accept transitions in your life with grace and ease.

Think baby steps and small increments. Assimilation and integration are key ideas in this process. Your opportunity is to become more aware of the flow of spirit. Experiencing this flow and activity will increase your capacity for intuition and your feeling of connection to psychic realms previously cut off from your consciousness. You’ll begin to experience a new flow of spirit within your own “upper chambers.”

Astrology Patterns

Full Moon Astrology Chart for June 2014There are several notable patterns in our Full Moon Chart.

First pattern: There is a trine/sextile square involving Jupiter, Venus, Pluto, and Saturn. This pattern is energizing a dynamic type of activity which becomes effective through intentional integration.

In their respective positions in the zodiac, Saturn structures life to radiate spirit, Pluto supports the will to transcend, Jupiter provides stability as new perspectives unfold, and Venus releases old concepts of “good and bad” which have become anchored as possessive values. Working together, they provide an expanding and dynamic activity capable of connecting you with spirit through new realms that have the potential of transcending your everyday perceptions.

Second pattern: The Sun, Mercury, and ‘part of fortune’ are grouped together in a conjunction which is in opposition to the Moon. Together, the processes of spiritual growth (Sun), taking pleasure in mature reactions (part of fortune), and adapting to new situations (Mercury) are embraced with a new illumination (Full Moon).

Third pattern: Mars and Uranus are in opposition, indicating your capacity for reacting to the unexpected. This may create a “need to react,” but you have a choice on the reaction you choose with the help of two key trines. I find these two trines particularly interesting. Both trines create relationships with the Sun and Moon in a very unique way. Uranus connects the Moon, and Mars connects the Sun. These two connections activate the Full Moon (Sun/Moon opposition) and bring together the integrative function of the upper areas of consciousness in a special way.

In Summary

It’s when these three distinct patterns all come together that something special happens. In short, dynamic activity (sextile/trine square) and illumination is taking place in the upper regions of consciousness (Mar/Uranus trine Sun and Moon.)

In the coming days, you’ll have the opportunity to experience a new type of awareness (Full Moon) by incorporating a positive perspective when confronting new situations or the unexpected. Set your intention to experience the flow and creative aspect of spirit within whatever is unfolding and changing around you.

This is the perfect opportunity to experience new awareness, especially by intentionally embracing transitions and choosing to approach unexpected circumstances with ease and grace. The dynamic stability and inner poise initiated with the May 28th New Moon, creates a strong foundation beneath this dynamic awareness you have access to during the Full Moon phase.

May the light of our expanding consciousness shine bright.

It is my deepest privilege to share these thoughts with you.
Have a wonderful month,
Steven

To experience your fullest potential in the coming month, allow the energy of this New Moon theme to guide you and help you adjust to changing circumstances. Each week of this month’s Lunar Cycle will offer new tools and momentum for energizing your life purpose.

New Moon Mesquite NV 2014

Astrology Article: Inner Stability and Dynamic Poise

This month there is the potential for disruptive energies. These may be experienced as disruptive power struggles, imbalances in the work place, conflicts with authority, or simply society not supporting your sense of fairness. It’s important to know that these potential disruptions present an opportunity this month. By accessing the opportunities disruptions in your life can be easily harmonized and used to empower your own sense of inner poise and stability.

Regardless of the specific way you might experience an imbalance during the coming Lunar month (ending on the next New Moon, June 26th), it’s important to realize that any conflict is supporting a stronger sense of individuality. This is opposed to a reactionary response resulting in desire for revolution or aggression within relationships or circumstances.

To harmonize any disruptive energies that may occur, first start by holding curiosity for the situation instead of reacting without forethought. It is important to realize that your greatest opportunity comes from exercising self-control and poise in spite of any urge you may have to be confrontational.

The second thing to consider is to engage your mind before your emotions. Mercury in the last degree of Gemini is able to see the situation for what it is and to see the big picture or pattern.

Your opportunity with the New Moon stems from realizing your personal connection with Earth, grounding in and holding on to the bigger picture. If conflict happens to appear in your life unexpectedly, relief will come from your ability to nurture your own sense of self while you hold the intention that everything must play its part, even the imbalances and disruptive energies. The result will be greater inner stability and a deeper sense of order in your life.

Astrology Patterns: Excellence, Stability, and Integration

May New Moon Chart 2014This New Moon astrology chart holds a significant pattern of dynamic poise. Mars plays an important role in this New Moon Chart because whenever any planet is located at 10° in a zodiac sign it signifies the possibility for personal transformation. Mars in Libra helps tie the patterns of the whole chart together, and it does so with a new level of cooperation (Libra), poise and self-control (Mars trine New Moon, and opposing Uranus).

Because there are two powerful oppositions in our astrology pattern, it is worth mentioning the magic of oppositions in a chart. Consciousness has accelerated since the ending of the Mayan calendar in 2012. As a result, a new paradigm in astrology is to observe oppositions with the outer planets in a more conscious and positive light, rather than as a source of conflict as they were traditionally interpreted. With any opposition, the shadow quality manifests as conflict, but only if a greater perspective is not uncovered and embraced. Similar to the illumination that comes with the Full Moon (in opposition to the Sun), each opposition holds the possibility for realizations and new perspectives to emerge.

From this new perspective Mars, with the insight of Uranus is able to act with forethought and self-control, rather than impulsiveness, especially if the bigger picture of the self (Uranus in Aries) is appreciated (Libra) and held in perspective (Pluto in Capricorn).

Another significant aspect of the oppositions relates to the Grand Cross formation, which we experienced for several weeks. As you can see from the chart, it now appears as a T-square. The stability of the Grand Cross is now changing into a more inner framework. The stability is still there, but it is more internalized and will require some extra work on your part to activate. The internalization and extra work can be seen in the complex relationships of Saturn, Pluto, and Neptune and their Jupiter/Mercury trine. Mercury in its position is stressing the need for excellence with a desire for establishing higher standards in one’s life.

If you can release the tendency to respond to disruption with old patterns, the two oppositions in the current chart offer new possibilities. One opposition brings together a new level of integration (Jupiter) with a larger historical perspective (Pluto in Capricorn). In the other, poised action (Libra) has the insight from beyond (Uranus) to guide experience (Mars) toward individuality and freedom (Uranus). When fully embraced, these oppositions become power tools that you can use to harmonize energies and establish inner stability.

In Summary

Remember, the energies delivered to you with the New Moon are activating your own deeper desire to experience your unique Selfhood. The energies of this astrology pattern put the focus on solutions and responding to life’s challenges with poise, a larger perspective, and the ideal that living with higher standard for yourself could be the key for finding solutions to challenges. By stepping back and looking at conflict from the bigger picture, seeing new levels of excellence within, you’ll meet conflict with poise rather than impulsive or even aggressive reaction.

May Full Moon Over Bay

Full Moon Astrology Article: Inspiration with Eyes Wide Open and Learning to Thrive

Our Taurus Sun at 24° is energizing the deep instinctual urge to first survive, and then to thrive. The Scorpio Moon at 24° brings an increased awareness to your everyday activities that merely surviving isn’t fulfilling all by itself. In fact, with the Full Moon in Scorpio, succeeding isn’t even enough. You are moving beyond old ideas of what it means to succeed. What is needed is something deeper. This Full Moon has the potential to open your eyes to see the possibility for embodying a new level of fulfillment. You are learning to thrive.

Venus and Mars: Inspired Action

The stable grand cross astrological pattern is still in full activation. A Venus and Mars opposition is important part of this grand cross. What’s being called forth from the pattern during this Full Moon phase is inspiration. More specifically, it’s inspiration which is available to be transformed into inspired action. This action is coming from a place of expanded vision, or awareness beyond what is normally available. With Mars opposing Venus, your opportunity is to move forward with new activity (Mars) with the promise of personalized fulfillment (Venus).

Venus Conjunct Uranus: Moving Past Your Comfort Zone

May 2014 Full MoonThis is a spectacular configuration occurring on the Scorpio Full Moon. Uranus has helpful energies which empower you to see beyond the ordinary limits of the concrete world. The three days after the Full Moon are a perfect period to envision a world full of potential and creative power.

It’s through this vision of what lies beyond that you’re able to sense, feel, and intuit these Uranian energies. The new perceptions or insights will be easy to recognize. You will feel inspired. The question is what type of inspired action are you going to take?

Uranus energies bring out the true individuality in each person. At the same time you are also encouraged to let go of things standing in your way. With Uranus, there is always a process of reorientation and inspiration taking place. If you’re able to consciously participate in this experience, then Uranian energy begins to flow with brilliance, innovation, and new insights.

Venus’ conjunction Uranus is special when considering how it fits in so perfectly with the overall astrology pattern. Venus holds the possibility of utilizing Uranian energy to pursue what true inspires you with insights that originate beyond normal perceptions (Uranus).

Moon Conjunct Saturn: Fulfillment Beyond the Status Quo

Once every month, the Moon passes over Saturn, creating a Moon/Saturn conjunction. This always brings the need to experience an increase in one’s structure and stability. Because of this opportunity for stability the configuration often represents connecting with the status quo.

With the current configuration, however, there is a deeper opportunity than simple status quo. With a grand cross and Venus/Uranus conjunction as part of this amazing astrology pattern, there’s need to go deeper (Moon in Scorpio) than the status quo to find the level of fulfillment you need to feel whole and complete (grand cross).

Our astrological pattern is supporting your ability to fight for fulfillment beyond the status quo of your normal daily life. You’re being inspired and challenged to access a deeper level of personal transformation. This is where the experience of fulfillment lies.

Action from New Perspective

With this Full Moon you have the ability to use what inspires you to move beyond what you have been willing to accept in the past, and have perhaps outgrown. This inspiration flows from seeing your life from a new perspective, with eyes wide open. As if, maybe only for a moment, you’re able to see beyond to confines of normal reality and see what is possible, transformative, and expansive.

During the three days following the Full Moon there is a window of opportunity to visualize which holds the power to show you something new and different. Be curious to see something which you weren’t ready or willing to look at before. Use this vision or awareness as inspiration to try something new. It’s time for action to be taken with open eyes and an inspired heart.

In Summary

Uranus is in a powerful conjunction with Venus allowing you to see beyond (Uranus) your normal comfort zone (Venus). Mars is opposing this Venus/Uranus conjunction and needs to take action (Mars) beyond what’s stable and predictable (Saturn/Moon conjunction).

Our Grand Cross offers expansion and integration (Jupiter), through an awareness of personal transformation (Pluto). Individuality and inspired action (Mars) are possible only through the awareness of what’s beyond (Uranus). This new awareness beyond your normal perceptions is linked to what will fulfill you the most (Venus).

The Moon (Scorpio 24°) and Sun (Taurus 24°) bring to light the idea that there is more to life than simply embracing the status quo. You can see / feel that it’s not enough to just survive. It’s not even enough to be productive and succeed.

There is a deeper desire now to look beyond the outer physical shell of organic life and see the realm of spirit, the higher-self, creativity, and inspiration. A glimpse of this realm is the secret to finding a new level of fulfillment in your life. You’re ready to thrive.

New Growth from Appreciation and Happiness – New Moon Astrology April 2014

New Moon Astrology for April 28, 2014

  • Article Window: April 28 to May 28
  • The New Moon was Monday, April 28, 11:14 PM PDT
  • Sun is 9° Taurus, Moon is 9° Taurus (Solar Eclipse)
  • New Moon Theme (thru the May 28 New Moon): New Growth from Appreciation and Happiness
  • The April 15 New Moon Eclipse Portal stays open until May 11, 2014
  • Full Moon is Wednesday, May14

Current Lunar Cycle

The New Moon releases a wave of new potential and sets the overall theme for the entire month that follows. To experience your fullest potential in the coming month, allow the energy of this New Moon theme to guide you and help you adjust to changing circumstances. Each week of this month’s Lunar Cycle will offer new tools and momentum for energizing your life purpose.

A Solar Eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun. During a Solar Eclipse the Moon blocks the Sun’s energy, light, and significance. Instead, there’s a boosting of the frequency of earth energy and life through growth and abundance. From an astrological viewpoint, the solar eclipse amplifies whatever of Lunar energies are currently active.

Taurus New Moon 2014

Growing with Appreciation and Inner Happiness

The New Moon brings a new manifesting wave of energy and one of the year’s most powerful growth cycles. This new cycle is activating the Taurus urge for growth, resources, and abundance. In the coming month, you can set the intention to experience an influx of warmth, inner beauty, and compassion to help get you through any dark times or challenges you may be experiencing.

The New Moon energies are combining with the Lunar eclipse two weeks ago, which brought a gift of individuality capable of helping you operate at a new level and expanding your sense of self.

This energy behind the April 15 eclipse is active until May 11th and is still having very powerful effect on everyone. Any tension, stress, or difficulties you may be experiencing are most likely a direct response to these new energies.

The Gift of Contrast

The eclipse gift of individuality may have introduced a “new factor” or experience into your life. This may appear as something different and unexpected that you must now integrate. Be aware that you may experience this new factor as a challenge.

Because of the intensity of this new impulse or factor introduced at the eclipse, many people aren’t prepared to take on the responsibility of the eclipse gift. Fortunately, the New Moon is providing a shift and a positive boost.

If you are experiencing difficulty in any area of your life, especially through circumstances that emerged in the past couple of weeks, you’ll be happy to hear that the New Moon is offering a shift. I recommend a two-step process to take advantage of the Taurus New Moon.

  • First, remind yourself is that you are in a powerful eclipse cycle.
  • Second, feel the new impulses from this new cycle of intense growth and opportunity.

Opportunities in the Taurus Moon

Taurus offers the opportunity for new growth through a process of struggle to overcome inertia and then to expand and blossom.

This new cycle of growth is offering the opportunity to work with any current challenge specifically through the feeling of appreciation for what you have, and your faith in the new process of growth just beginning.

Life is full of naturally occurring ups and downs. A low point of a cycle can be completely transformed by the remembrance of the high points in life. Because struggle is a natural component of a cycle, it’s important to recognize that struggle is only a phase. You didn’t get to where you are now without overcoming countless obstacles and various crises. Life without the appreciation of the joy and blessings that follow the tough times is ultimately non-productive.

Finding Time to Celebrate

One way to access appreciation this week is by connecting with friends. The astrological energies are aligned and encouraging you to gather with close friends or family to celebrate and appreciate all that is good and beautiful. This is necessary to keep life fresh and renewed.

The warmth of togetherness, the inner beauty you and each of your friends holds, is an example of the compassion that can flow from acknowledging both the lows and the highs of life. Celebration with friends and family is often saved for the holidays, but sometimes the astrological energies say “Celebrate now!” This is one of those times.

Whether you are experiencing a low point or a high point at this New Moon phase, my recommendation is to find a way to celebrate. Immediately after the New Moon (anytime in the next 7 days, up to the first quarter moon on May 7) plan a dinner party, a celebration, or a get together to appreciate the goodness in life. You’ll find an important boost of inner happiness, maybe just when you need it the most.

Astrology Patterns of Significance

Solar Eclipse New Moon Astrology Chart 2014The planets at the New Moon are beautifully aligned.

There is still the energy of the Grand Cross to help you create a useful framework for expanding and building something solid in your life. However, the Grand Cross is no longer being directly activated by the Sun or Moon as it was two weeks ago at the Lunar Eclipse. Instead of directly interacting with the New Moon, the Grand Cross is now stabilizing the Eclipse gift. The purpose of this is to support a new level of individuality to blossom with new growth during the Taurus growth phase. This growth is triggered by the New Moon.

The Sun, Moon, and Mercury are conjunct in Taurus, and are all activating Saturn with a powerful opposition. Saturn is the ruler of all structures and form. In Scorpio, Saturn builds relationships through fellowship and faith in the process of becoming more than we are. Saturn in this pattern, structures a new types of inner freedom out of the depths of self-renewal and regeneration (two themes of Scorpio). The ability to experience hope and faith in even one’s darkest hour is a theme empowered within the depths of Scorpio. It’s the Universe’s way of giving you boost.

The conjunction of Sun, Moon, and Mercury are amplifying the relevant themes of Taurus, including expressing what’s real and tangible, as well as acquiring new personal resources. Taurus is fertile and potent, and as a result its growth is expressive and self-reliant. Being an earth sign, Taurus is also motivated with gathering. Personal resources can be anything you accumulate, own, or possess. With Taurus your resources become a form of personal expression.

All of these themes are supporting the Grand Cross by expanding your individuality through inner freedom and the appreciation for what you have and possess. Appreciation also flows from the realization of what you have had to overcome to move forward. Think of this as the experience of living with grace.

Conclusion

You’re starting a new cycle of growth. The planetary energies are aligning to provide specific help and assistance. Success will come from embracing the new impulse to accumulate the wealth (Taurus) of individuality (Grand Cross) and the inner freedom (Saturn) that flows from appreciation (New Moon conjunct Mercury).

The Shocking Truth about a “Blood Moon” Eclipse!

The Shocking Truth about a “Blood Moon” Eclipse!

This short article addresses the truth behind the “Blood Moon” hoax.

The term “Blood Moon” was popularize by a fringe Bible prophecy story teller named John Hagee to create fear among his fanatical followers.

John Hagee took NASA’s use of the term Blood Moon to apply to the full moons of the upcoming tetrad – four successive total lunar eclipses, with no partial lunar eclipses in between, each of which is separated from the other by six lunar months (six full moons) – in 2014 and 2015.

John Hagee appears to have popularized the term in his 2013 book; Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change. His goal was to create fear among his followers. Mr. Hagee used an obscure biblical passage to create the premise of his book.

Here is the actual King James Version passage where the term “moon into blood” originated.

Joel 2: 29-32 KJV

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Blood Moon is an Astronomical Term used by NASA

The full lunar eclipse known as a “blood moon” is, as NASA explains, the sunset red glow that rings the earth as it blocks the light from the sun is cast upon the moon creating an eerie red color.

Astrological Point of View

According to Steven Shroyer, expert astrologer, the lunar eclipse itself is by far the more important event. Steven claims that each eclipse opens a doorway or portal allowing cosmic opportunity to reach earth.

This cosmic gift, as he calls it, brings a potential for new abilities and awareness to blossom in the consciousness of all. Read his latest article describing the April 15th lunar eclipse.

Expanding Your Individuality: Lunar Eclipse Full Moon Astrology April 2014

  • Current New Moon Theme (thru the April 28 New Moon): New Dimensions in Consciousness
  • Eclipse Portal stays open until the May 11, 2014

The Lunar Eclipse occurs during a Full Moon. This semi-rare event only occurs twice in 2014. It always brings a special gift of new consciousness from beyond normal perceptions of time and space.

A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon. The light of the Sun normally illuminates the entire Moon during its Full Moon phase. During a Lunar Eclipse the light of the Sun is temporally blocked by the Earth, and the light of the Moon disappears (Eclipse). This allows for a doorway, or cosmic portal, to open in the sky at the exact degree of the Eclipse. Energies from the galaxy and other star systems stream through this portal to Earth without interruption from our Sun Moon cycle. Each Eclipse portal brings a new cosmic gift to our consciousness. The portal remains open for one month, until the Moon passes over that same degree again.

The Grand Cross, or grand square as it’s sometimes called, is a powerful astrological pattern occurring the same time as the Lunar Eclipse. Neither the Eclipse nor the Grand Cross is ever negative or troublesome. This grand cross isn’t a pattern to be feared. The pattern offers an opportunity to create new forms of stability through a shifting of energies. The grand square is a symbol for the container which supports a changing image of our self. Light creates shadows. The shadow of a grand cross is a refusal to integrate these naturally shifting energies responsible for building new forms of consciousness and stability.

Full Moon Partial Eclipse

Lunar Eclipse Astrology Article: Expanding Your Individuality

Each Lunar Eclipse brings a special gift through a cosmic portal or doorway which opens at the point where the Moon’s light is interrupted by an Eclipse. The cosmic gift of this Eclipse is a new type of individuation or individuality from the depths of our galaxy directly to your consciousness.

My understanding of individuality is best understood in light of its dynamic relationship with unity. Both individuation and unity are part of, and contained within, the greater whole of universal consciousness (which is referred to by many names). Individuation and unity are the opposite poles of universal consciousness. They are both necessary parts of the whole.

Individuation contains the qualities of uniqueness, diversity and multiplicity. The contrasting polarity of unity is expressed by oneness, union, and the collective.

This Eclipse gift of individuation enables a new level of consciousness to grow within your psyche. We all possess a degree of individualism, but this gift expands your experience of individuality beyond being unique. Instead of being an individual in the typical sense, it carries with it the expanded experience of being an individual in the galactic sense. This is a type of individuality that embodies the individual expression of the greater whole.

Galactic Perspective and Inner Freedom

To understand the galactic sense of this cosmic gift is to embrace the concept of individuation as a path of inner freedom. Being a true individual frees your mind to follow your own unique path in the world. Walking your own path allows for a larger perspective of your own life purpose to surface.

Inner freedom can take you beyond the idea of seeing the world as either good or bad. We all grow up in a particular place, a particular time, and with the values of a family, school, and community. Most people’s ideas of good and bad stem from a particular cultural location in which they were raised, and we have the freedom to change these cultural values.

Realizing the changing nature of cultural values can free your own understanding of the world. From this more expanded perspective you have the freedom to expand your own ideas of good and bad at any moment, completely independently of what you were raised to believe.

Expanding into a new realm of individuation involves leaving behind old ideas of right and wrong while embracing a larger point of view. Our Lunar Eclipse in combination with a grand cross provides a new framework for holding a new image of yourself. Holding an awareness of working in cooperation with galactic or universal energies will help you feel the inner freedom needed to move beyond any limiting ideas left over from the past.

Individuated Relationships and the Grand Cross

April 2014 Lunar EclipseEach grand cross, also known as a grand square, provides tools for expanding relationships.

The formation is created by the large obvious square you see in the chart. In astrological terms each side is called a “square,” involving two planets 90 degrees apart. Thus every grand square holds a pattern involving four astrological squares.

The four squares are all connected and encourage you to move forward in life with new decisions, new attitudes, new perspectives, and a new quality of relationship.

A grand square is also known as a grand cross, because of the cross formation created by the two oppositions 180 degrees apart. The two oppositions allow for new revelation or illumination to enter your consciousness so that you have new tools for creating dynamic relationships instead of getting caught in stagnation.

You can see by the geometric shape of the square that the form is stable and supporting. The grand square, grand cross pattern is never bad or negative. In fact, it’s just the opposite. It provides the necessary tools and desire for action needed so that life and growth don’t come grinding to a halt.

The challenge comes when we choose stagnation – holding to the past – when the energies of life are calling for expansion. Problems arise, not because of the grand cross, but because of resistance to the natural urge to release the old and transform into a new and more stable form.

The urge associated with our current grand cross eclipse is to expand into a new form of individuality. This transformation is ultimately an inner process, expanding you into a new identity and a relationship with something much bigger.

In the astrological chart, Jupiter in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn is providing a boost in will power and a more mature understanding of how to express the character needed to embrace a larger point of view. With Mercury, Uranus, and Sun conjunct in Aries with Moon in Libra there’s the possibility for a brilliant realization of how to use your own life-force to expand consciousness through polarizing energies.

The Art of Polarization

The grand cross involves two polar opposites that desire to be integrated. This seems like the perfect opportunity to expand on the concept of polarization, especially since this term is often associated with negativity.  Examples of polarity in the current chart can be seen in the zodiac signs of the grand cross. Aries opposite Libra contains the polarities of the individual versus the collective. Cancer opposite Capricorn contains the polarities of personal identity versus collective achievement.

The conscious acceptance of polarizing energies within any type relationship is a solution to the problem generated by individualism.

The natural problem of individualism is the tendency to become isolated, with a narrowing or self centered perspective. When you are able to fully experience one polarity, it opens up the possibility to experience the other pole also operating within you.

The art of polarization can be used to expand your own sense of life purpose through the awareness that polarization is part of your divine nature. This divine nature is activated by the realization that both polarities are within you.

In the big picture, the galaxy and the individual are both operating as polarities within your consciousness. The ultimate gift of our Lunar Eclipse is the experience, uniting these complementary opposites, that you are a child of the universe with both the galaxy and individualism working together in your divine being.

Working with Our Eclipse Energies this Month

The practical use of the eclipse energies in your life during the next month is dependent upon recognizing that opposites and polarity can coexist as long as there is an exchange of energy. An exchange of energy occurs when they operate with purpose within the greater whole.

  • Recognize all polarities as existing within the greater whole. Each pole is in relationship with the other pole.
  • As with the energy exchange between the day and night, see the working principle as active and necessary.
  • Practice seeing how the balance between polarities supports the exchange of energies.
  • Feel your own sense of individuality working at a new level.
  • To expand into a new level of individuality it’s necessary to use the available inner freedom. Take time to reflect on your current attitude of what’s right and wrong. Determine if you’re simply following cultural patterns, or if you’re taking an individualized perspective and decide for yourself.
