Our Libra New Moon is connecting all of us to a higher frequency as we experience the coming big changes to our world. This specific lunar cycle is standing out in an extraordinary way. With its spectacular kite pattern, this New Moon chart has the potential to activate a clear transition to the next phase of personal and planetary evolution and changes worldwide.
This New Moon is directly supporting us, not only in the short term but in the longer term effects of the Aquarian Age, which is rapidly changing the tide of our reality and the consciousness of our planet.
Libra Moon — Accessing the Bigger Picture
The zodiac sign of Libra begins with the fall equinox, which represents the beginning of a six-month cycle of expansion. During this time we learn to function as individuals within the collective, while still preserving our creative essence as individuals.
Libra is associated with expansion through positive social interactions and relationships, new perceptions of objective reality, seeing the bigger picture, and the ability to understand the context of one’s life. As the cardinal air sign, the Libra archetype allows us to awaken to larger realities and see the creative beauty within nature and all of humanity.
Libra’s expansive energy is highly creative. It enables us to understand our reality in objective ways, allowing us to move forward with spontaneity and creativity. Libra’s creative process keeps us in the present moment, so that personal relationships are fresh and pertinent, and able to move forward in the best possible way.
The Dawn of a New Day
Imagine waking up one day and realizing that everything in your world has changed. The dawning of a new era has definitely arrived. What’s important to realize is that this point of awareness exists in every moment and is part of the eternal now.
What’s occurring on our planet with this New Moon represents a major activation point. This lunar cycle is activating Aquarian energies of increased frequencies and expanded awareness, both personally and within the collective. There will be no going back to the old ways of living and thinking.

3° LIBRA — THE DAWN OF A NEW DAY REVEALS EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED
THEME: ACTIVATION
ARCHETYPE: The ever-present possibility of beginning again as a higher manifestation of the previous cycle while embracing a new foundation of values and perspective.
COMMENTARY: The process of personal transfiguration is signified by the dawning revelation of a brand new day. The ability to function at a higher planetary level enables one to transcend the past and participate in their highest dharmic role as a creative innovator. The activation or initiation of a new dawn requires a creative release of energy that transcends what had come before.
This archetype of 3° Libra beautifully describes our creative point of a new beginning. We are bringing forward and harnessing the energies of the previous Lunar cycles in order to build creative momentum in these new energies of the Aquarian age.
Recent cycles have helped us prepare for this new phase of growth, including our recent Aquarius Full Moon on August 11, “A Massive Change is on the Horizon” (see article). The Virgo lunar cycle that followed bought in a “Spiritual Leap in Consciousness” (see article).
Now, with our current Libra New Moon, our consciousness is ready for the next phase of expansion and change that is being activated. The kite pattern within the New Moon chart is another indicator of the significance of our current transition.
The Libra Kite of Change
Our Libra Kite is emphasizing the power of change and indicates that these changes will be extraordinary. It is difficult to articulate just how big this moment in human history actually is.
A kite pattern is a special and specific geometric pattern that holds incredible energies and potential. Because of the unique harmonics of the geometry, a kite is able to focus and manage the potentials. Each kite holds tremendous opportunity, and the specific opportunity is described by the planets involved.
This particular New Moon kite has the three outer transcendent planets of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto as the crown of the kite, with a powerful grouping (stellium) at the tail. The crown of the kite acts like a lens which focuses energy. This energy is then expressed through the kite’s tail.
The crown, formed by the outer transcendent planets, represents the highest frequencies that are available to us at this time. With Uranus in Taurus conjunct the North Node, these higher-frequencies are tangible, real, and concrete (Taurus). They are also future-oriented (North Node).
All of this momentum is focused through the tail of the kite, which is highly concentrated through a stellium of planets, including the Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus. The stellium at the tail represents s new activation of the spiritual values that are required for planetary evolution, as well as tangible support for the decisions that must be made at every level of society.
As we operate from these higher values, the Sabian for Venus describes the decision-making process that is activated through connection to our higher selves.
♀ — 26° VIRGO — A BOY WITH A CENSER SERVES THE PRIEST NEAR AN ALTAR
THEME: TO PRACTICE AWARENESS IN THE PRESENCE OF ONE’S HIGHER SELF
ARCHETYPE: A new stage of direct participation in the great ritual of planetary evolution.
COMMENTARY: In the most sacred sense, every action is a ritual practice in the presence of the divine for the evolution of consciousness. In this archetype the priest represents our higher self. As the boy realizes that every task, even the menial, is to be practiced for a higher purpose, so each of us is learning how to live in awareness of the guidance of our higher self.
This Sabian archetype highlights the way in which we are each evolving into our awareness of our connection to our higher self and our ability to live from that awareness. As we collectively step into this expansion, together we contribute to the ongoing process of planetary evolution. Each of us is playing an active role in these positive changes in our world.
Aquarian Age of Transformation
With each lunar cycle we are collectively stepping deeper into the Aquarian Age. Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius and the Aquarian Age, is playing an important role in changing the frequencies of the planet. We don’t know how these massive changes will occur, or whether they will be rapid or systematic over time. What is certain is that big change is occurring and will continue to occur.
The current Sabian for Uranus speaks to these massive processes of change.

THEME: FREED SPONTANEITY
ARCHETYPE: The surge of new potentiality after a crisis of change.
COMMENTARY: A state of consciousness which allows light to purify the mind through the letting go of past attachments and their resulting contaminations. As a result, the ego is no longer in control. Unconstrained spontaneity fully allows one’s infinite potential to release new life out the infinite ocean of possibilities.
This beautiful Sabian reminds us that all changes, including crisis and the necessary letting go of the past, are all part of the transformation into the Aquarian age. In this way, the pervasive change that is occurring in our world can be recognized as great potential, rising from the ocean of possibilities for each and every one of us.
Summary
We are entering a new era of change. The tide is turning and the Aquarian Age is becoming more and more tangible every day. This lunar cycle may indeed be one of the most exciting and possibly volatile that we have experienced to date.
The dawn of the new day exists now, within the present moment. This is the time to take our focus away from fear and live with conviction in our vision of the peaceful and prosperous world we are creating. In this way we will continue to successfully transition into the Golden Age of Aquarius.
Each of us have spiritual tools that we have cultivated, and which we will use in the coming transition. My vision is that each of us will continue to follow our inner guidance. and experience the joy and spontaneity that exists within the present moment of creation.
