In the coming two weeks look for ways to celebrate and take inspired action, especially from whatever you have embraced or experienced since the New Moon. Be patient with challenges that emerge in the coming days, recognizing that they are also a necessary part of your expansion.

Astrology Article: Expanding Your Personal Success

Everyone wants to be successful. The idea of what success actually means varies greatly from person to person. Success in its most general understanding is the achievement of an aim or purpose. Over the coming two weeks there is an exciting opportunity to experience new levels of personal success in your life.

When considering success in the coming days, there is both an individual and collective aspect to consider. Allow me to explain this idea in the form of a story.

Consider a talented female singer on stage in front of a massive, adoring crowd. After an outstanding and moving performance, the singer is interviewed by a reporter. The reporter acknowledges that the performance was excellent by any standard, and then asks about her experience of success and the achievement she feels.

The singer responds in an unexpected way. She acknowledges her hard work, and then talks about her success having the highest value within the hearts of her fans. She goes on to say that the value of her art cannot be measured in individual (personal) terms since her success is only possible because others value it.

The point of this story is that success can be viewed and measured individually, or collectively, or both, as a mutually beneficial relationship. The highest point of success is when everyone benefits, both the individual and the group.

Our current Full Moon energies are bringing this opportunity into focus. There is the opportunity now for ease in the realm of personal success. You can expect positive results in whatever you set your mind to. However, there is also the possibility to expand your viewpoint and intentions. With the stability of the Grand Cross, there may be a tendency to play it safe and miss the larger realization that your actions can also impact others and have a much larger impact than you alone.

Your experience of success becomes limited if success is experienced as strictly an individual or personal achievement. Additional expansion and growth occurs when you feel your success also as a collective achievement and contribution.

There is a dynamic interrelationship between both types of success. The success of personal achievement is rooted in the quality of inner strength needed to meet the challenge. At the same time, individual achievement seldom exists in isolation. The challenge itself often involves and require the participation of the collective (as the story illustrated). In this way, the sense of personal accomplishment is also experienced as an accomplishment within the larger group.

Astrology Patterns

Our current astrology pattern consists of a Grand Cross involving a powerful opposition between the Sun/Jupiter (circled) and Moon/Pluto (circled), and a second opposition between Uranus and Mars. This pair of oppositions creates a Grand Cross. Note: this is a different Grand Cross from the one we experienced earlier this spring.

The Uranus/Mars opposition has been around for several months as we have been learning to integrate these energies. Until now, the main focus of the Uranus/Mars opposition has been individuality and the importance of being self directed.

With the new opposition of Sun/Jupiter and Moon/Pluto completing the Grand Cross there is a shift in emphasis from the individual to include the larger group. Jupiter’s connection to the Sun brings this possibility of success within everyone’s reach. The Full Moon conjunct Pluto brings the need to transcend one’s individual success to include a collective appreciation.

Remember, there is a kind of stability offered with the Grand Cross formation, but beware of the tendency to play it safe and stay within your comfort zone. This is about seeing yourself as part of something bigger and expanding your idea of what is possible.

In the coming days, accomplishing your personal aim or goal (achieving success) has the potential of expanding (Jupiter) your experience of success into a more universal or collective contribution (Neptune/Saturn/Pluto sextile to Full Moon).

In Summary

The Full Moon always activates a new awareness that expands your potential for growth. Feeling and experiencing success is fully supported during the next two weeks (until the New Moon). For the next two weeks you are being supported to experience new forms of success. Ask yourself, “How can my personal achievements inspire others?” Your answer may surprise you as you consider your connection and relationship to your community and your larger group.
