Each month the New Moon releases a wave of manifesting energy, focused specifically on a new expanded sense of Cosmic purpose. This is why the New Moon provides an ideal time for setting intentions.

This week’s New Moon is unusual and powerful. We are experiencing a special activation of cosmic purpose and unity. You’ll experience this activation in a personal way, at a deep and intuitive level. Although there is a tendency now to overwhelment, especially because of the “bigness” of the energies, if you’re able to access appreciation and bring your attention to the present moment, you can receive messages from your Higher Self.

It’s important this week to use simple awareness to avoid the frustration that comes with being overwhelmed or distracted. Bring your attention back to the moment, feel eagerness and creativity, and you will receive messages. They will come in the form of synchronicities, big or small. When they occur, look and feel beneath the circumstance and you’ll experience your connection to something larger. This is your Higher Self calling you forward.

What is being initiated this week is a new level of cosmic awareness and unity consciousness. Simple actions that follow inspiration will put you alignment with the expansive potentials of what is being born.

With each New Moon there is always the opportunity to build on the potentials of the previous cycle. The previous New Moon on Feb 9th released an enormous wave of energy designed as a catalyst for change. The current New Moon is building on so much potential it is no wonder many of you are feeling the special nature of this coming week. Others of you may just plain feel overwhelmed. Either way, there’s good news just ahead.

This New Moon is special, indeed. In fact, there is a once-in-a-lifetime astrological pattern that supports this building of energies and offers a new impulse for personal expansion. Even those of you who aren’t astrologers will find it interesting to look at the New Moon chart included here. Before we discuss the specifics of the New Moon, I would like to take a moment to explain this rare and unusual cosmic pattern.

A Rare Opportunity

This week the Sun and the 4 inner-most planets (Mercury, Venus, Moon, and Mars) are grouped together in the constellation of Pisces and sandwiched between two powerful outer planets, Uranus and Neptune. This grouping of inner planets (a stellium) indicates the opportunity for a powerful personal experience that leads to action. Uranus offers the opportunity to pierce the veil of limited reality, while Neptune dissolves ancestral boundaries and establishes a new order of harmony. In the middle of this pattern, the New Moon (Sun and Moon conjunct) activates the stellium and the Uranus/Neptune connection. Overall, this signifies the initiation of a new creative impulse within each of us to move beyond separateness to new levels of planetary harmony.

It’s also important to understand that this week’s New Moon constellation reactivates the recent Uranus/Neptune conjunction, back in 1993, which began a new cycle of planetary unity on the planet. Every 170 years Neptune and Uranus come together. When this happens the cycle always offers a new possibility. 20 years ago the conjunction initiated a new period of unity that moved beyond separateness into realizing the reality of harmony and unity on the planet in a never-before established manner.

This earlier conjunction is an important part of the current story, considering that this week’s New Moon re-visits and re-activates this impulse and brings it to a new level. Significantly, this current impulse is especially for individual expression. That is, the potential for unity consciousness will be felt and expressed by individual people in a way that hasn’t happened before.

What is Hidden beneath the Surface

The month of Pisces often involves a certain amount of confusing energies. Pisces is vast, connecting the individual to the home of global humanity. While it’s inspiring it’s also too big to grasp in entirety.

Pisces is also about completion. As the final Zodiac sign, we are integrating everything that unfolded in the previous cycle and preparing for the birth of the new cycle that begins with Aries at next week’s Spring Equinox. Mixed in with all of the new birth and potential we are feeling, there is also some necessary disintegration and letting go.

Pisces is about feeling the vastness of the larger realms and then going within and feeling our connection. In other words, it’s about focusing our own energies to personalize the bigness of what we’re experiencing.

Imagine a person living on an island within a larger group of islands. As they look out over the ocean at the other islands they can feel separated and alone, or they can feel connected by the ocean that supports them, through an island federation supported by a rich fishing trade and the waterway of transportation connecting all the islands together. It a matter of perspective.

The personal connection to the big picture can easily be missed by focusing on the vastness of the ocean. In this regard, Pisces represents a hidden opportunity or message, obscured by its immediate outward appearance.

This Week’s Message of Inspiration

The basic message of this New Moon is that there is powerful inspiration available to you. This is a unique and personal message, coming directly from your Higher Self, a message of inspiration that you can understand only by going within and accessing your inner guidance.

The opportunity of this New Moon is also subtle and somewhat hidden. The personal message could easily be lost in the “bigness” of Pisces. In order to access your personal connection to the message of inspiration you must go beneath the outer appearance of circumstances and connect to your own bigger picture.

An example may help point this aspect out more clearly. Consider a man blowing a bugle to announce an event. Its sound is piercing to the core. But as dramatic and penetrating as the bugle sound is, the real message is not about the sound itself. The man blowing the bugle is summoning those who can hear into participation and action. The deeper and hidden meaning in the bugle’s message is its call to action.

The New Moon “bugle call” is a special opportunity this week to receive a message which will inspire you to move forward in your life. The action you take may be simple, but it will put you in alignment with the larger momentum of change. Only you can intuit the hidden inspiration. This special message will vary greatly from person to person, but you have the opportunity to use it to mobilize your own creative energies to support a new harmony and unity in the world.

This New Moon directly supports the bigger picture of planetary Unity, especially connected to what was started at the 1993 Uranus/Neptune conjunction. Moving forward you have the opportunity to participate in this time of planetary change in your own inspired way.

Manifesting with the Pisces Moon

This New Moon is unusual, in that the manifesting energies are throughout the coming week rather than just in the hours surrounding the New Moon. Hold the focus of the following intentions as you go about the coming days leading up to next week’s Spring Equinox.

• Allow the letting go of what has already served it purpose. As you release the past, you can allow the present to unfold, even if it is in unexpected ways.
• Hold the big picture in the potency of the moment.
• Feel the bigness of your connection to the unity of humanity. Set your intention to support the future and what will benefit the highest good for you and the world.
• Allow yourself to be inspired by what’s coming next. Feel the coming birth of new hope, and what will emerge as new life in the next cycle.
• Listen, look, and feel for messages from your Higher Self. Pay attention to synchronicities and the personal message beneath the outer circumstance.
• Take simple actions this week from the inspiration of what you feel.
