ASTROLOGY ARTICLE — A New Quality of Hope is Revealed
Our New Moon in Pisces is very expansive in its nature, with spiritual overtones that indicate the potential rise of a great historical movement of like-minded people. This quality of expansive thinking is both a quality of Pisces and of its ruler Neptune.
In astrology there are no coincidences, so when we consider that our Pisces New Moon and its ruler Neptune are less than 3° conjunct, we pay very close attention.
With the New Moon conjunct Neptune we will begin experiencing an unexpected positive shift toward a better future. The past months have brought a drastic shift in the trajectory of humanity. With our historic Capricorn conjunctions of 2020 we saw the rise of totalitarianism in the United States and around the world. Many began to wonder exactly where the world was heading.
Now that we are out the other side of the shadow of Capricorn, there is a new quality of hope that’s being released with this New Moon. Along with hope there are also ancestral and karmic energies that are being revealed. It will be through this combination of new hope, along with the unveiling of old karmic energies, that like-minded individuals will begin working together at new levels toward something expansive for humanity.
Neptune’s energies have two faces. One side of Neptune’s face is spiritual in nature, vibrating in high frequencies of consciousness and a fundamental transformation to a higher order of functionality. The other side is the shadow of Neptune, including fantasy, glamour, deception, and a disconnection from reality.
This New Moon will continue to separate the two faces of Neptune in order to support our expansion into the frequencies of 5-D consciousness, while also revealing the level of deception currently operating within the 3D realms of our world.
Understanding the Piscean Energy
Pisces is the last sign in the zodiac. As the last sign it gathers all that has gone before and then distributes these energies in an expansive manner. The word “expansive” is slightly misleading. It doesn’t mean that the energies go “everywhere” indiscriminately. Instead, it means that the expansive energy of Pisces is both universal and flowing in large ways. This is one of the reasons that Pisces is associated with the ocean. Its energies are both deep and vast.
Within the realm of Pisces, ideas and inspiration also flow in big ways. Because the source of this flow is universal it’s easy to make the leap that Pisces has a spiritual connection to universal sources of energy. This doesn’t mean that Pisces doesn’t have its own shadow; in fact, the shadow of Pisces can be quite large. This is because the Pisces shadow is activated through a lack of awareness of the universal source.
As the last water sign in the zodiac, there’s an emotional component in Pisces that must be understood in order to effectively work with its expansive energy. At the highest individual level, Pisces doesn’t take things personally. This results in a spiritual connection through the emotion of compassion.
This uniting quality of Pisces has the capacity to activate hope on a vast scale, both personally and through the collective. At the collective level, Pisces represents the flow or perpetuation of a culture or society into the future. It provides continuity and emotional stability at the cultural level of the collective.
The collective shadow of Pisces can be seen in the form of cultural institutions that provide stability without connection to spiritual principles, including the recognition of the individual’s worth. When Pisces’ collective emotions become manipulated or controlled through the shadow of Neptune, then cultural institutions become corrupt and self-serving.
Neptune has been transiting Pisces for the last 9+ years. It is this shadow of Neptune, working through Pisces, that’s now creating the conscious awareness of the extent of corruption currently operating within governments and large corporations worldwide.
When the energy of Pisces is able to be expressed through higher consciousness we will began to see an attitude of faith and hope for a better future permeate the different cultures of the world. This expansion is what many are calling the consciousness of 5D, or the Aquarian Age.
This new quality of hope will not focus on differences, but instead the commonality of universal solutions that benefit all.
The Revealing of a New Era
For the first time in a long time we are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Now that our Aquarian energies have been activated in historic proportions, we will continue to witness a split in consciousness between 3D and 5D perceptions of reality. We are now living in an era where we can envision new solutions, while at the same time experience a revealing of deceptions and the shadow side of Neptune.
With Neptune conjunct our New Moon, the contrast between the two Neptunian realities will continue to emerge. This contrast will be increasingly more apparent to those who are seeking a greater awareness. This will include new awareness and revelation of those who are intentionally distorting information, or outright deceiving the collective.
The revealing of a new era of hope will be built on this awareness. This level of awareness is founded in the spiritual understanding of Pisces that unites those who are able to see beyond the Neptunian shadows of distortion and deception.
This is a time in history where ancestral energies will become more karmic than in past eras. Think about this new era as a repurposing of ancestral energies for a new and higher function that represents the Aquarian Age.
This karmic shift occurs when positive ancestral energies and wisdom become activated. Once activated, these ancestral energies will now serve a greater Piscean purpose, and the karma of revealing deceit will begin to dismantle old power structures and systems of control.
We are witnessing an enormous change in history which gives rise to a new quality of hope, as the full potential of a positive shift for humanity is now on the verge of being revealed.
Astrology Pattern
Our pattern is a tight bowl, meaning the all of the energies in the bowl are highly focused and ultimately working closely together. This tight bowl is further concentrated with our New Moon as part of the stellium (group) in Pisces. This stellium is reinforcing a concentration of Piscean energy. With its ruler Neptune also in Pisces, this pattern is making Pisces and Neptune the predominate energies of our chart.
Furthermore, our New Moon occurs right after the Moon’s conjunction with Neptune, which creates additional expansion through the “new phase” energies that are also being set into motion. This concentration of energy amplifies the expansive quality of Pisces, which is already considered “big” energy, further representing the potential for a major shift in the collective consciousness.
What’s most important to remember is that this Piscean shift in energy is large, meaning the flow that’s now set in motion has huge momentum. Ultimately, what this represents is that what’s being set in motion at this New Moon is SO big and expansive that no one can stop what’s coming. The power of the new energies are simply too big.

A peak-experience is often reinforced by group devotion, over time and through a path inspired by the great teachers of an age. Nevertheless, despite the path followed before, each person finds their own mountaintop with a unique and transcendent revelation.
What this powerful archetype shows is that individualized consciousness is in the process of a spiritual ascent. It suggests that we all have a new opportunity to experience the flow of spirit, especially within the context of personal revelation. The process described here is exactly what the New Moon stellium in Pisces is also supporting.
This powerful and positive shift in planetary energies is a very welcome turn of events. This Lunar cycle could easily be the beginning of the time when masses of people begin to awaken to a new paradigm. The energies are ripe for a massive shift, especially when individuals begin to clearly see the Neptunian distortion and deception that has gripped our world.
